SAB Anniversary Card

Isn't this card purdy : )
One of the SAB choices is this beautiful emboss resist DSP.  As you guys know, I'm a huge fan of the emboss resist technique.  I do it frequently!  Love, love, love it!  Now that there is a paper available it makes it even easier to do projects with the emboss resist technique!

The paper comes white with clear embossed images on it, so you can essentially create any color paper that you want.  I used a Stampin' Spritzer with some rubbing alcohol and some drops of Pear Pizazz re-inker.  I sprayed the paper and wiped it off with a clean towel  Let it quickly dry and it's ready to adhere to your project!

This card is one of the 6 featured at my January Just Cards Class on Jan. 30th.  I would love to have you join me in person or you can also do this class by mail!  Just CLICK HERE to RSVP for more information!

Another Sneak Peek

Okay, okay...I know yesterday was Christmas and you're probably thinking, "Valentine's Day already?!"  But, hear me out...these new sets are SO STINKIN' CUTE!  For those of you who do your children's Valentines, you can appreciate having a head start on getting them done.  I'm of course one of those moms and it takes me weeks to get them done because of other daily responsibilities.

I love this set called Hey, Valentine for lots of reasons.  One being they are kid friendly cute.  We can all appreciate a sophisticated and elegant Valentine card, but honestly...how many of those do you need??  One most likely!  Now kids Valentines are a whole other story!  We all have kids in our lives one way or another.  Daughters, sons, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, friends children, the list goes on.  There are lots of super cute images in this set that no only lend to cute cards, but also tags!  Perfect additions to those candy gifts we tend to give on Valentines Day.

Another one of my favorite parts to this set is the open space, lined images that are awesome for coloring!  Whether you are doing the coloring with our fabulous Stampin' Write Markers or Blendabilities.  Or you can just plain stamp the images on a squares of Whisper White Card Stock, package them up all cute and give them as Valentines!

Don't forget the BRAND NEW 2015 Occasions Catalog and SAB Brochure go live on January 6th!
I will be doing an Occasions Catalog and SAB Kickoff at my home on Saturday, January 3rd from 12-3pm Open House Style to introduce you to the new catty!  Come on our and make 2 super cute Make n' Takes, see some new products and samples, and get your new Catalogs and Class Schedules!

Last minute teacher gifts!

I'm a last minute kinda girl...always have been.  Wonder if that will ever change...lol.
Somehow I doubt it!  So here are my last minute teacher gifts!
I hate the whole 'gift card' cause I didn't know what else to get you thing.  Don't get me wrong, gift cards have a place...but handmade gifts at Christmastime are the best.

Bath Salts are in the jar.  Here are the ingredients:
1 cup of Epsom Salt
1/2 cup Sea Salt
2 Tbsp. Baking Soda
1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Peppermint Oil
Red Food Coloring

Mix all of your dry ingredients first, then add your olive oil.  Once you have it completely combined add your peppermint oil and food coloring until you reached your desired effect.

Then you can spoon your mixture into any glass jar of your choice.  Mason jars or jars like this one I found at my local craft store.
Then all you have to do is decorate your jar!  I've once again used the Mingle All the Way stamp set, one of my faves!

Once your jar is complete, you can then get an idea of what size box you need to create using your Gift Box Punch Board to create the perfect packaging.  For my particular jar I created a box that measured 3 1/4" X 3 1/4" X 4".  Your box size will vary.
I decorated it with a bit of our wrapping paper, ribbon and Baker's Twine.

I hope you find this project inspirational!  Make those teachers in your life something from the heart this Christmas!  My blog will be a tad quite over the next week for obvious reasons, but rest assured, I will be back at it with amazing samples from the Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration Brochure that starts on Jan. 6th!  Be sure to Subscribe to my Blog so you get an email when I post the next project!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all my fans and friends!
Thank you for being such a blessing in my life this year!

Pretty Packages

When it comes to gifts, we all know that packaging is everything!  You want to show the ones you love that you care just as much about what's inside as you do on their first impression, right?!
This box is super easy to put together and a good size for a lot of things, but will fit handmade cards and envelopes beautifully!

The belly band keeps this box closed and adding a 'thumb space' will help your recipient open your beautiful box to see what's inside even easier.

Made of our Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper, this cardstock is extra heavy and perfect for box making.  So here's how to make it!

You will need:
Card Stock measuring 12" X 8" for the box
Card Stock measuring 1" X 12" for the belly band

With your box card stock in portrait orientation (8" accross the top of your Simply Scored) score it at 1", then rotate 180 degrees and score at 1" again.  So each side should have a 1" score mark
Then in landscape orientation score it at 1" and 5 1/2" on both sides.
Cut up on all of your score lines and trim out a small triangle to help your box go together better.  This step isn't necessary, but it does help your box fit snug and look good.
Place Sticky Strip on your tabs, and bring up the sides to create your box.  Before you attach the top of the box, be sure to punch out your thumb hole.  You can do it after, but it's much easier before you assemble the box.  I used the 1 3/8" circle punch but any circle or oval punch will work just fine.

The belly band is simply just bent around the box and attached with sticky strip.  You want it to be snug around your box, but not so tight you can't easily slide it off.

The sentiment is from Mingle All the Way and stamped in Garden Green on Kraft Card Stock.  I popped that image up on a 2 3/8" Red Glimmer Paper.  I sponged the edges of the box and belly band with White Craft Ink.

What would you put in this box?

2015 Occasions and SAB SNEAK PEEK

Advent Calendar

Like many families with children, we have an Advent Calendar system filled with chocolates, Hershey Kisses to be precise!  Those little eyes light up with the thought of opening the daily box containing a chocolate for each of them.  Oh the simple pleasures of life!
This year I was so excited when I saw the Holiday Catalog filled with possibilities to create an Advent Calendar with this year's goodies!

It all starts with the Tiny Treat Boxes.  These cuties are 2" squares.  The perfect size for this project.  I then took the beautiful All is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper and cut it into 1 3/4" X 1 3/4" squares.  For each box I used 4 pieces.  Cover each of the sides with the paper using SNAIL adhesive.  You could also use Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then, using the 1/2" Circle Punch I punched out the little notch in the front of the box for the 'thumb rest' to open the box.  To back drop some of the numbers I used a 1 3/8" Circle Punch in coordinating colors.
You may be wondering where the numbers came from and you might be surprised.  They are from the Hello December Project Life Accessory Pack.  They are self adhesive cork backed numbers!
Perfect for documenting your December using Project Life, as well as these cute little Advent boxes!

I hope you are inspired to create your own this year for your children as well!
