One of the perks of being a demonstrator is I get to attend monthly meetings with fellow team members. I love the commodore with other women surrounded by stamps! The best part of those meetings are swaps! We make up around 15-20 of the same card front and 'swap' them with other demos for their card front. Not only is it fun to see everyone else's style and creations but it's a great way to get ideas! This particular card is the one I created for our last meeting. I love the combination of colors and the butterfly framelits are so one of my favorite products right now!
The butterfly is actually stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Pear Pizazz ink on Whisper White card stock. Then the butterfly is cut out with the framelits. It gives the butterfly a little more interest and, well...pizazz! You've seen me use the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper before. It's one of the FREE Sale-a-Bration choices and it has an emboss resist type of feel. There are several different patterns, this one is the flower pattern. I used a sponge dauber and my Calypso Coral Ink Pad to color the piece before wiping it clean with a napkin. You want to be sure to do this step before you attach it to your project not only to give it a beautiful finish, but to keep the recipient from getting all inky.
