In Color 3X3 Note Cards

Here's a cute little inspiration for you today!  Super easy to make and really help you to enjoy each of the new In Colors individually!  Pair these beautiful new colors with the Hip Notes Stamp set and they create these adorable little note cards perfect to give as a gift!  The Petite Petal punch made it to the new catalog as well, so I paired that with one of the new punches you will be able to see on June 2nd and a rhinestone for a little extra sparkle.

2014-2016 In Colors

You've seen me use them in lots of projects up to this point, but here is a formal introduction to the 5 new In Colors we get to spend the next two years with!  From the left to the right they are Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon and Tangelo Twist!
Photography doesn't do these deep, rich colors any justice.  They scream luxury in person.  The good news is you are only days away from being able to order them yourself!  June 2nd is the day!

Memorial Day Rememberance

Every day I pray for the safety of those who fight for our country and their families.  On Memorial Day we all take time to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice so many have given to preserve the freedom of our great nation.  From my family to yours, thank you for your service and devotion to this amazing country.  Godspeed to those whose lives were lost in battles to protect this magnificent land we call home.
 We are all eternally grateful.

Embossed Watercolor Dahlia

.
One of my favorite stamp sets right now is Regarding Dahlias.  I love to try new techniques with it to see what I can come up with.  I decided to give watercoloring a try on Crumb Cake card stock, rather than Watercolor Paper and I love the result!!  Creating this look is super easy!  Heat Emboss your Dahlia with White Embossing Powder.  Don't forget to use your Embossing Buddy first!!  Then you can watercolor your dahlia.  Take your ink pad and give it a gentle squeeze in the middle.  That will transfer some of the ink to the lid.  Open your pad up and dip your Aqua Painter brush into the color that transferred to the lid.  Now starting in the center of your flower work outwards in a circle motion.  As you do so the ink color will become lighter as more water comes from the Aqua Painter.

Once you are satisfied with the saturation of color you can then wipe over the top of your flower with a paper towel to remove any access ink that gets stuck to the embossed image.  That's it!  Your beautiful creation is done!  Add it to the project of your choice to wow that special someone!

The dimensions for the card above:
A2 size card base 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" - scored at 4 1/4"
DSP 4"X4"
1/2 of a Tea Lace Paper Doily
Image stamped on 3 1/2"X 3 1/2"
Strip of Blackberry Bliss card stock 3 1/2"X 1"

More from Project Life©

Life is an adventure...now that's an understatement in our home lately.  One of our twins, Chase, has all sorts of allergy issues.  Typically we are on high alert for food related issues, but lately we have been on pollen patrol!  The poor kid is covered in itchies and all kinds of miserable.  On a positive note he is finally getting better with a dose of prednisone, but I have to remind myself daily that life is an adventure worth living!

This card is created with another Project Life Accessory Pack.  So simple to put together!  Project Life isn't just for memory keeping in the picture form, it can be a card that reminds you of a time in your life as well.  Plus the best part is it would fit in a pocket in your Project Life System!

So pull out those PL cards and awesome accessory packs, make a card for a friend in need and send it out!
Created in a New York minute but will provide a lifetime of memories!
