Punchy Hearts

Punches are so much fun to play with, you can do so much with them.  One of my favorite ways to use them is to punch a layer to then put on top of another layer to reveal a paper or hidden image.  This is a very simple way of using that technique.  I used my Full Heart Punch to show the Real Red Card Stock underneath.  But you could kick it up a notch by stamping an image in that space to really draw attention to it.  A few of the products on this card are slated for retirement, the Full Heart Punch being one of them.  You will also notice the Small Heart Punch on the ribbon.  It's actually Silver Glimmer Paper that I colored with my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker!  Yep!  You can color Glimmer Paper to suit your needs!  Use your brush tip of your marker to gently color in the color of your choice.  In addition to the heart punches there are two more things retiring on this card.  First is the Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.  Second is the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper.  The DSP will be available through June 1st, 2014, but the other retiring items are only while supplies last.  If you were wondering where that cute little "hi" came from it's from the Regarding Dahlias set...one of my total faves right now!
