Sweet Essentials So-Long...

Another set that I will be super sad to see retire is Sweet Essentials.  I love the font and sentiments in this set.  It's no secret that I love simple.  Simple and easy projects are not only quick to create, but they showcase the heart of what we love...stamps.  Stamps are the root of all the cards I make.  My love for Stampin' Up! and their amazing quality shines through even the simplest card that I create.  This card was done in 3 minutes, start to finish, but is by far one of my favorites.  The Banner Framelits make those sweet little DSP banners a breeze.  Add some wrapped Bakers Twine and a little silver Glimmer heart under that sweet little "hello, baby" sentiment and this card is quick, duplicable and requires very few "ingredients".  If you haven't already scooped up Sweet Essentials, get it before it's gone forever!

Watercolor psst...

I wanted to take a break from the retiring product and use a set I adore.  Happy watercolor is a go to set for me, I just love it!  I of course also love the Hardwood Stamp, who wouldn't love that stamp!?  I hope to see both of these beauties in the new 2014-2015 Annual Catalog, time will tell!
I chose to 'fussy cut' the irises to give them some dimension and interest.  I used my Aqua Painter to color in the flowers and stem.  I love to use the Gold Sequin trim by removing some of the sequins and attaching them to my project with glue dots.  It's a fun way to use this super cool ribbon!

Simply Sketched Goodbye

Simply Sketched was by far my favorite Hostess Only set from the 2013-2014 Annual Catalog.  I love anything to do with watercolor type images, and this set is perfect for that. Create a watercolor look with either a Blender Pen or your Aqua Painter that is sure to make you look like an artist!  I know you are probably looking at the image below and thinking, "does she realize she went outside the lines?!"  You betcha I do!  In my classes and workshops I always try to make people believe me when I say "It doesn't have to be perfect!" and here's proof!  It's still a pretty card, outside the lines or not!  I hope you had a chance to snag this set before it is sold out!  Don't forget, in order to get it you need a $150 order/party, so get a few of your friends together to place that order!  Click HERE

Birthday Cupcake

This card is featured at my upcoming Retiring Party in May and it has loads of retiring products in it.  I will miss each and every one of them!  When I put these two colors together, Rich Razzleberry and Coastal Cabana, I was pleasantly surprised!  I didn't think they would compliment each other as well as they did.  It's a very simple and easy to put together card that showcases several of the retiring products.  Create a Cupcake will surely be missed by many, and if you haven't had a chance to order it yet, click HERE before it's gone forever!  The Designer Series Paper is one of my favorites, Afternoon Picnic.  I love the subtle colors in it.  It's on this week's Weekly Deals as well as the Rich Razzleberry Ribbon, so be sure to get those at a discount as well!  The flower on the cupcake is from the Itty Bitty Punch pack, which I have to admit I was SHOCKED to see it's retiring...so many people that love to do punch art use those punches frequently!  The small heart punch in the lower corner of the card is the last of the retiring products featured...it will certainly be missed.  Although I love everything about this card it makes my heart ache to see all these products retire. I'm sure the new and fresh products in the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog will help ease the pain though!

You're My Hero-Retiring

Here's another retiring stamp set from the 2014 Retiring List.  This set is called "You're my Hero" and it's so cute.  Lots of fun images and sentiments.   Perfect for a little boys birthday.  As a matter of fact, this set is what I used to make my twins 3rd birthday invitations for their Fireman Birthday party last fall!  So cute!  The Naturals Designer Buttons are also slated to retire, so if you love either one of these, be sure to snatch them up!
