Creative Blog Hop

I was very flattered to be nominated by Jody Brechbill for a Creative Blog Hop last week.  You can see her blog HERE.  To pay it forward I will be nominating two incredibly talented women in my life Connie Heisey and Robin Merriman.  Can't wait to see what they come up with!

This card showcases the new Pink Pirouette Blendabilities found in the 2015 Occasions Catalog by Stampin' Up!  I love using these markers!  Once I colored the flower, leaves and stems I fussy cut it out and then attached it to the Typeset Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the Pink Pirouette card stock panel on the front and the inside of the card using the Sweetbriar Rose Stamp inked in Pink Pirouette.  It adds a nice textured effect to the front of the card and carries through the color and design to the inside of the card for a nice finish.

Petite Pairs is an 'oldy but goody' stamp set I often go to for small sentiments.  It nicely fits on this 1 3/8" circle and allows for the Very Vintage Button.

I hope you like this project and find some inspiration here to create your own!
Now onto my questions and answers!

1) What are you working on?
Right now I'm working on my March Classes.  I have my Just Cards Class and an Easter Class to create for!

2) How does your work differ from those in your genre?
I feel like my personality is what differs the most.  I'm a fun loving, energetic and giggle ridden thirty something.  I want my work to reflect my personality.  So you will often see fun, whimsical projects from me with some serious and more labor intensive ones sprinkled in.  As a stay at home mom to 3 little ones I know how important time is, so I try to simplify everything.  The simpler the better!

3)Why do you create what you do?
I create for lots of reasons, but the biggest reason is to bring joy to others.  There is something to be said for a room of women playing with paper.  The laughter and joy is contagious and heart warming.  We all need more of that in our lives, and it's my personal goal to share my passion for paper with as many other people as possible.

4)How does your creative process work?
It usually starts with a purpose.  Whether I'm working on cards for an upcoming class or need a blog post project.  Then I pick a stamp set.  I might pick something new or something I have been wanting to use for a while.  Then it's off to Pinterest!  I get a lot of inspiration from Pinterest.  I typically search that stamp set and see what other people have come up with and go from there.  I might like the layout they used, or the color combination and work from that.  I do occasionally CASE (Copy And Share Everything) someone else's design, but for the most part my work is completely my own with inspiration from other talented demonstrators.

As previously mentioned, I am nominating two incredibly talented women, be sure to check their blogs next Monday, February 23rd to see their posts!
