Embossed Black and White Beauty

Heat embossing is one of those things that always brings the wow factor to any project.  Add a black and white color scheme to the mix and you have the recipe for a knockout card!

So here's the paper you'll need for this project:

Whisper White: 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Whisper White 5 1/4" X 4"
Chalkboard Paper: 2 3/4" X 4"

Grab a Tea Lace Paper Doily and some Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon and White Cotton Ribbon and we're ready to stamp!

Emboss your 5 1/4" X 4" Whisper White layer with the Lovely Lace Embossing Folder.
Run your Embossing Buddy across your Chalkboard paper.  Be sure that the 'velvety' side is up. With White Craft ink, stamp your sentiment and flower. Heat emboss them with Whisper White embossing powder.  Using the 6th from the smallest Circle Framelits cut out the flower from your Chalkboard Paper piece.  Be sure to leave enough room for the doily!  You don't want to cut too close to your sentiment, or the doily will cover it.
Now for assembly:
Using SNAIL adhesive, adhere the remaining sentiment layer onto your embossed piece of Whisper White.  Wrap a piece of Black Taffeta Ribbon just under your piece of Chalkboard Paper around the Embossed piece adhering it to the back with scotch tape.  Now you can use Dimensionals to adhere the embossed layer to the front of your card.
Place the doily over the missing piece of Chalkboard paper and line it up so that you can still see the sentiment.  Using SNAIL attach your flower piece to the doily.  Trim the sides of the doily to match the edges of the flower piece.  Use Dimensionals to adhere this part to the card lining it up with the Chalkboard Paper.
With a piece of Whisper White Cotton Ribbon and Black Taffeta Ribbon together, thread it under the Black Taffeta piece on the front of your card.  Tie it in a knot, trim the ends, and your card is complete!
