Halloween Treat

We are getting super excited about Halloween in our house!  With three little kids, Halloween is a really fun time of year for our family.  Annual pumpkin patch visit, pumpkin carving, choosing costumes and indulging in far too much candy past your bedtime...it just doesn't get any better!
The following project is one I did as gift for each of my daughter's class mates at preschool.  Super easy to put together and so much fun to "open"!

This cute little creation contains a mini bag of popcorn!  The best part is when the child pulls the ribbon and the top the popcorn pops out and easily can be pushed back down!  So stinking cute!
The supplies you will need are a 6"X 11" piece of cardstock or designer series paper (I chose Old Olive Cardstock).  A belly band that is 1" X 11", I chose the chevron pattern in Rich Razzleberry in my Brights Collection DSP Paper Stack.  The only other thing you need is about 15"-20" of Ribbon.
Fold your cardstock/dsp around your popcorn leaving a little room for movement.  Use SNAIL or sticky strip to adhere the flap.  Wrap the belly band around and use SNAIL to attach it.  Take your bag of popcorn out and at the top of your pocket, punch a hole using a regular sized hole punch at the top about 1/2" down while holding both the front and the back together.  Thread your ribbon through the front and through the back hole.  After evening out your ribbon place your popcorn bag on top of your ribbon and push down until the entire popcorn bag is in the pocket.  Then take the two ends of ribbon and tie a bow or a knot like shown.  Decorate and there you go!  A cute little gift to give someone this Halloween!
