Like many families with children, we have an Advent Calendar system filled with chocolates, Hershey Kisses to be precise! Those little eyes light up with the thought of opening the daily box containing a chocolate for each of them. Oh the simple pleasures of life!
This year I was so excited when I saw the Holiday Catalog filled with possibilities to create an Advent Calendar with this year's goodies!
It all starts with the Tiny Treat Boxes. These cuties are 2" squares. The perfect size for this project. I then took the beautiful All is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper and cut it into 1 3/4" X 1 3/4" squares. For each box I used 4 pieces. Cover each of the sides with the paper using SNAIL adhesive. You could also use Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then, using the 1/2" Circle Punch I punched out the little notch in the front of the box for the 'thumb rest' to open the box. To back drop some of the numbers I used a 1 3/8" Circle Punch in coordinating colors.
You may be wondering where the numbers came from and you might be surprised. They are from the Hello December Project Life Accessory Pack. They are self adhesive cork backed numbers!
Perfect for documenting your December using Project Life, as well as these cute little Advent boxes!
I hope you are inspired to create your own this year for your children as well!
