Masculine Monday

When I talk to people about stamping and what they find the most challenging, the number one answer is always "creating masculine cards".  Those of us who love to stamp have no problem making pretty flower riddled, butterfly swarmed cards.  We all get excited when we can add ribbons and rhinestones to any project we please.  But, the day comes when we realize we need a "man card".  For me it typically happens t the last possible second before I rush out the door to a function, or know I need to get it in the mail RIGHT NOW before the mail lady comes.  So, for the better of all stamp kind, I have decided to dedicate Mondays to Masculine stamping!  I will share a manly project with you each and every Monday!  I promise to keep them relatively simple and pain free.  This way we will have some man cards ready to go the next time we have a need!  So here we go, Masculine Monday #1!
Two of my favorite manly colors together are Basic Gray and Crushed Curry.  I'm not sure what it is about them together, but I just love it.  This card is beyond quick and easy to create and only uses a couple stamps.  The hip hip horray is from the new photopolymer stamp set, Bravo.  I love all of the large sentiments in this set and being that it's photopolymer, getting them straight is a breeze.  Gorgeous Grunge makes an appearance in lovely Crushed Curry.  I find myself using Gorgeous Grunge for a lot of masculine projects.  There is no punching or Big Shot work on this card.  Just stamps, ink and paper.

To add a little 'something-something" at the top of this card I put a small snippet of ribbon and tied a knot with some pieces of Burlap Ribbon.  If you have never seen me do the Burlap Ribbon trick before, all I do is pull threads from the ribbon and use it just like Linen Thread.  Cut the one side off and just pull away.  Love to do this with this awesome ribbon!

I hope you guys find some inspiration from this super quick manly project and I will have another one for you next Monday!  Let me know if you have any questions!
